Organizing a large-scale online event “Company Day Online” to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the company is easy! This is exactly the event our event agency created in the shelter hall of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv for the Ukrainian IT company SoftServe. On this occasion, their charity fund “Open Eyes” announced a charity project “Drive for Life” to purchase 29 ambulances for the front. In the context of war, the priorities of Ukrainian businesses have changed, and now festive events often turn into charitable initiatives.
Interview with the Co-Founders
The first part of the online event was dedicated to an interview with SoftServe co-founders – Yuriy Vasylyk, Yaroslav Lyubinets, and Taras Kytsmey. They shared their thoughts on what personally makes them proud of SoftServe, aside from the obvious successes in building a global commercial organization with Ukrainian roots. They talked about how they managed to overcome numerous challenges over 29 years – from two revolutions and the annexation of Crimea to the COVID-19 pandemic and the full-scale war in Ukraine. The founders explained how the company remained flexible, forward-thinking, and caring towards employees and clients, and shared their vision for SoftServe’s future after the war ends.
All this took place against the backdrop of a specially arranged location consisting of banner structures. Together with SoftServe, we developed a unique blue photo zone composed of various details. Special attention was paid to color coordination in the frame, so we chose pastel tones. To provide more space for the speakers, it was decided to expand the stage. For the safety of the guests and the possibility of continuing the event in case of an air raid alert, all events were held in the shelter.
Charity star online auction
The second part of the event was devoted to an online charity auction hosted by the Lions in a Jeep celebrity hosts. We engaged the most famous stars in the show business market and took care of the auction lots in advance: all invited celebrities signed items for free and recorded video announcements of the upcoming draw, which significantly increased interest in the event.
The first lot — a belt bag from the SoftServe co-founders — set a high tone for the event. Among other things, there were unique items from famous Ukrainian artists and bloggers, such as a T-shirt from TNMK, a panama hat from KALUSH, a hoodie from TVORCHI, a backpack from Anton Ptushkin, and a shopper from the Lions in a Jeep comedians. The lots with star signatures aroused considerable interest among viewers, enabling us to achieve the goal of raising 500,000 UAH for an ambulance for the front.
